What Happens to Our Skin in Our 30's?
It’s all about looking and feeling your best!
At age 30, skin and muscles in your face may start to show signs of ageing. Your collagen production starts to reduce making skin less elastic and more prone to wrinkles, fine lines, and age spots. Your facial muscles may also start to weaken and you may notice a loss of facial fat leading to sagging and loss of definition in your cheeks, jawline, and neck. However, these changes can vary from person to person and can be influenced by factors such as genetics, lifestyle, and sun exposure.
Prevention is always better than a cure.
First line of defence is always protection against the sun’s ageing and harmful rays. Sun cream factor 50 on your face with SPF30 for your body ideally twice a day is your best friend, keeping hydrated with lots of water will help keep your skin plumper and fresher and help all your organs function well. Good foods that contain lots of vitamins and antioxidants are a must, reducing bad lifestyle habits like smoking and alcohol and increasing good habits like exercise, reading and meditation will reduce stress. This will all help keep you feeling and looking younger and fresher for longer!
Recommended treatments for 30’s.
Treatments to help mitigate and slow down the signs of ageing are plentiful and many can be and should be used in conjunction for best results. Skin Boosters can be used to improve tone and texture and are great to give you a glow and mitigate fine lines. Neuromodulators like Botox relax muscles, reducing the appearance of dynamic lines and folds in your skin and with the reduced muscle movement. It slows the progression of existing lines at rest and if you’re lucky (or use a skin booster) you might get some repair and reduction of the existing lines. Dermal Fillers can be used for enhancing symmetry, masculinity, and feminising. It may be used to replace diminishing facial fat pads in your cheeks and lips giving greater contours.
